Who pays for the Capital Region BEC?

The CRBEC has contracts with several government departments to deliver services.

We have a contract with the Australian Government to deliver low cost business services through the Capital Region BEC.

We have a contract to provide Free 'Business Advisory Services' with the NSW Department of State and Regional Development.

The Work Placement Coordinators in Queanbeyan, Goulburn and Young are funded by the Commonwealth Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and NSW Department of Education and Training.

DEEWR funds a Careers and Transition program manager to support up to date careers advice and programs in the region.

DEEWR also funds the 'Adopt a School' program in the region.

Further funding and local support comes from the local councils in the areas we cover - the Queanbeyan City Council provides substantial in-kind support.

Other income is derived from training programs, networking events and other fee-for-service activities.

Membership fees collected from our members is also very important to the ongoing viability of the Capital Region BEC.

Why is the Capital Region BEC so successful?

Although partly funded from Government funds, the Capital Region BEC is largely free from traditional limitations and bureaucratic controls and so we can provide you with impartial and confidential services.
