Network Breakfast - 6th October 2009

Topic: "how a Freight Hub at the Canberra Airport will benefit small business"

Speaker:  Stephen Byron

Stephen Byron has led the Capital Airport Group since its acquisition of Canberra Airport in 1998.

Under his leadership Canberra Airport has been transformed. Stephen has overseen the provision of new aeronautical infrastructure at the Airport, the introduction of both Virgin Blue and Tiger Airways to Canberra Airport, the development of Brindabella Business Park (a world-class cluster of modern and environmentally sustainable office buildings that also boasts a pre-school, a service station, gymnasium, multiple cafés and a restaurant, hair dresser and sporting fields), the construction of new VIP and Government terminal facilities in the Fairbairn Precinct, the development of the Majura Precinct, as well as the complete upgrade of the roads accessing the Airport.

Stephen was also the driving force behind Canberra Airports recently announced new international Multi-User Terminal. This new Multi-User Terminal will be a world class facility servicing Canberra, Queanbeyan and the wider region and will cement Canberra Airports position as a transport an economic hub for South East New South Wales.

Come along and hear what is proposed and possibly how your business can benefit.

Don't forget to bring plenty of business cards as this is a great networking opportunity.
